Caitilin O’Connor
Caitilin is a creative problem solver who strives to reach the best processes and deeper meaning through understanding relationships and structure.
Caitilin’s path to Blackwood was not direct, but it has shaped her into who she is today and made her a stronger team member. Caitilin’s first (or second if you count licking envelopes!) intersection with Blackwood was in an administrative role while working towards her university degree.
Connecting with people.
Once she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Winnipeg, Caitilin earned a position at a large accounting firm. As Caitilin worked toward her CPA, she gained invaluable skills, however, she realized that this was not her passion. After spending a year as Program Coordinator at a community centre, Caitilin rejoined the team at Blackwood, excited about making a meaningful contribution as the new Financial Manager.
Through all her experiences Caitilin has found that while working hard and doing a job well is necessary, what creates excellence and real success is being able to build client relationships and connections. Blackwood puts relationship building first. This dynamic is what draws Caitilin in and keeps her passionate about her work.
Creativity in all forms.
Caitilin’s passion for numbers and process at work is mirrored in her passion for creating outside of work. Exploring her creative skills through a variety of art forms including writing, drawing, and painting, Caitilin especially enjoys creating personalized cards and films for friends and family.
