Fostering creativity.
In 2017, feeling the need for a change, Chelsea began to look for a career which would give her the opportunity for creativity and professional growth, while utilizing her strongest skills.
The Director of Family Services role with Blackwood Family Enterprise Services offered everything Chelsea was looking for. At Blackwood, Chelsea is able to strategically plan, help grow a successful business, and better the lives of others. A large part of Chelsea’s role is to manage and organize the workflow for the Blackwood’s advisors and ensure that they, and the families with whom they work, have everything they need to be successful.
Making a difference.
Outside of work, Chelsea helps foster literacy and theatre through her volunteerism. She is a volunteer with the Prison Library Committee and the Fringe Festival, as well as a member of the Friends of the Winnipeg Public Library board.
Reading is one of Chelsea’s greatest passions and it is a rare occasion that she does not have a book in her purse. She was even caught reading on her wedding day. Chelsea’s other hobbies include crafting, cooking, and finding new ways to create experiences and memories.
